As NFL Week 9 concludes with a matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys, it could also end off with a trade between both teams. With the NFL Trade Deadline tomorrow, Cowboys general manager Jerry Jones went on Sirius XM to int about a recent trade the Cowboys had made, but wouldn’t disclose who.
Jerry Jones said the Cowboys made a trade, via @SIRIUSXM.
On the trade:
“Immediately it will address some things that have been our shortcomings.”

That being said, the trade could ultimately be with the Arizona Cardinals for a player that can help Dallas in a spot they need the most on defense. That player the Cowboys could have traded for is Budda Baker.

Arizona Cardinals Trade Budda Baker to the Dallas Cowboys
The Arizona Cardinals are set to be sellers at the 2025 NFL Trade Deadline as they sit with a 2-5 record ahead of their game against Dallas and need to be looking to make major changes going forward. Some of the changes can be done through trading players for value in return.
One of the players that could draw trade interest is Budda Baker. With Baker, he is an extremely versatile player that can be utilized all over the defense in different looks. With his athleticism he has been able to be a force as a blitzer, in coverage, as well as stopping the run. All of which has led to him having 82 pressures, 11 sacks, seven interceptions, 26 pass breakups and two First-Team All-Pro honors over his career.
The safety play for Dallas has been less than fantastic this season, and. is something that must be corrected for them going forward if they want any true shot at making a deep playoff run. Currently Markquese Bell and Alijah Clark are the starting safeties for Dallas as Malik Hooker, Donovan Wilson and Juanyeh Thomas have all dealt with injuries.
Trading for Budda Baker would help instantly solve the safety issue the Cowboys are having, and help solidify the backend of their defense for the rest of the season.
