LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Longtime University of Kentucky Athletic Director, Mitch Barnhart will soon announce his retirement plans on Tuesday, WKYT can confirm.
Barnhart has been with the University of Kentucky 24 seasons, and he is the longest-tenured Power 4 Athletic Director.
WKYT is working to learn more information about his retirement announcement.
According to those with knowledge, Barnhart did not travel with the men’s basketball team to Texas A&M and has planned a meeting with staff.
